Had our ultrasound today. They tell you to have a full bladder when you go. I sure did. So full i had to release half of it twice! I waited so long to get seen but luckily got the same nurse as last time. Laid on the bed and got started with the ultrasound. Right away, the baby wasnt laying right. She never does! The nurse still tried to get photos of the baby. After about 15 minutes of trying, she told me i had to walk up and down the hallway and try to make the baby move. 10 minutes later we gave it another shot and it made a difference. I woke the baby up and she started moving around all over the place. I cant ever see the screen but i can see the expressions on the nurses face. She got tons of more photos of the baby and told me i had to release half my bladder once again. I laid back down and we did the last look then she had her intern take over so she could surprise my husband, mom, and little brother by bringing them in to see the baby. She brought them all in and they were all excited already. I finally got to look at the screen too and the nurse pointed out different body parts. Her long arms, her feet, her head, her nose, and lips, and she was able to get a photo of the baby with her mouth open. Its really exciting seeing the baby move around. I cant wait to hold her little hands and kiss her little face. We finished the ultrasound and my mom started asking questions. We asked if she was able to see any intestines outside of her body and she did say yes. It really broke my heart all over again. The nurse did inform me that i will be meeting with the best high risk doctor next week and i will be monitored very closely. Let the weekly doctor visits begin! (Excited for all the ultrasound photos i will be getting) Yay! But our journey is only just beginning. We find out the results of the amniocentesis next week with the doctor and i just continue to pray that everything else is okay with her. Heres one of the cute photos we caught of her before we woke her up. It looks like she is sucking her thumb. Something i always did as a baby and in the womb.
