Tony and Jess: Orange County, California; We are recent newlyweds with a special baby girl on the way. Our daughter has been diagnosed with Gastroschisis. We created this blog to let you in and follow our journey through our pregnancy and the life of our little one. We also want other families going through this same thing a chance to hear our story and know that they are not alone.

Expected due date: June 6, 2013

A little bit about the condition: Gastroschisis is a birth defect in which an infant's intestines stick out of the body through a defect on one side of the umbilical cord. Treatment for gastroschisis is surgery to repair the defect right after birth. There are no direct linked causes to this condition, but it occurs in 1 out of every 2.229 births,
